iPad Repairs

Over time, you might cause damage to your iPad by accident e.g. you drop or lose your grip of the iPad causing it to hit a hard surface or the floor.

There are many ways that an iPad can be damaged through the user and the repairs that are undertaken are just the same for the iPhone and iPods. The most likely damage to be caused if the device is dropped on the floor will be the front glass being cracked. The front glass, which contains a digitiser component, can easily be replaced.

Another way that an iPad can be damaged is through water. Like most electrical devices, the iPad does not function well with water. If the iPad has water damage, then the internal connectors will need to be checked over and cleaned out where required. The LCD display will usually be replaced at the same time as well.

The back of the iPad is quite sturdy but this can collapse if the device has been mishandled and may result in the LCD display and the front glass being damaged. There are two options to repairing the back case, which is either replacing the entire back casing or attempting to bend the casing back in. With the second option, you will see an indent or marking where the bend has happened.
